On a completely unrelated note (and actual useful information to some possibly) Sony is really mad at this kid
George Hotz (GeoHot) apparently got into a lot of restricted areas in electronics we use everyday (i.e. Iphones and shit). He decides to try to get his way into a Playstation and did the greatest justice of supplying the world with this knowledge on his website.
Sony didn't like that.
They're bringing legal action to him, as well as possible legal action to any and all people who linked him money through paypal visited his website, even just saw his youtube videos.

I can't help but think back to a documentary I saw called "Hackers Wanted" when I see this. Really suggest checking this movie out. The Homebrew Computer Club would love this kid.
I really hope this kid can pull through this case against Sony :(
Last I heard, they settled the issue so I guess he's home free. Of course there's still plenty of anons continuing their hacking efforts.
ReplyDeleteAh. Then may I just say, towards myself, slowpoke is slow.
ReplyDeleteWoooo, mega corporations suing poor college students who are curious about their products.
ReplyDeleteShaggy?!
